Flexo printing and packaging company wants to hire an experienced Mechanical Engineer with previous experience in Blown Film Extrusion, Flexographic Printing, Lamination, and/or Converting. This is an impactful position driving improvements in our bag converting process: converting printed wide web film to bags on high speed converting equipment. This role is key to the installation and implementation of new equipment as well as upgrades to our existing equipment.
Responsibilities include:
Foster the use and implementation of Standard Operating Conditions (SOC) to improve long term product quality by reducing variability. Develop new SOCs for new equipment.
Initiate new projects to develop standardization in materials, machinery and methods
Provide technical manufacturing process support through project development to improve safety, quality, cost, and efficiency. Identify areas requiring improvement, initiate and manage projects to completion.
Support divisional efforts to reduce systemic manufacturing quality defects and implement throughout.
Coordinate new product and process development. Monitor progress of experimental orders for accuracy and timely completion as well as summary reports.
Coordinate with Production and Engineering departments to determine project status. Provide reports to management relative to status.
Ensure ongoing development of manufacturing processes by maintaining an up to date familiarity with emerging manufacturing technologies.
Support the implementation of TOC, Six Sigma and Lean methodologies in the plant.
Qualifications include:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).

years of practical engineering experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing process equipment. Experience in converting processes is a plus.
Knowledge of plastic film and printing are a plus.
Ability to work independently along with identifying and leading small groups and projects with minimal direction.
Strong quantitative and analytical capability - strong statistical background.
Hands-on mechanical or electrical experience related to machine process capability.
Practical experience in the use of Six Sigma and quality systems tools. Six Sigma Green/Black Belt a plus.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
Project management and work flow analysis - a plus.
Must be willing to be on call for manufacturing trouble shooting and support of 24-hour manufacturing operation.
Effective communication skills: individual, group, team facilitation, written.
Ability to research and seek information and apply.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
