Business System Trainer (Classroom)

Description:POSITION SUMMARYThe selected candidate will serve as the Matco Tools Business System (MBS) training classroom facilitator. This position requires a day shift work schedule of Monday through Friday and occasional weekends.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as primary classroom facilitator on franchisee training performance offering instruction on the Matco Business System. Facilitate all franchisee Matco Business System training.
  • Provide training to the new distributor class using the Matco Distributor Business System (MDBS) software, sales, customer service, product promotions, and business management. Design, develop and facilitate Matco Distributor Business System training including software, sales, customer, service, product promotions and business management.
  • Provide performance improvement coaching to franchisees to promote success and longevity for franchisees.
  • Provide focused support to existing distributors who require follow-up assistance during training seminars and expos.
  • Develop and maintain open and positive relationships with staff in Stow as well as Field Instructors and Field Managers.
  • Communicate with Field Instructors and Field Managers about franchisee progress throughout initial onboarding.
  • Maintain classroom and display store for use during assigned MBS training classes.
  • Develop and maintain learning plans, incorporating the intent of the two-week performance improvement plan and measurement of franchisee performance vs. benchmarks during coaching/learning intervention.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and create group learning experiences using design techniques that reach all learner types.
  • Motivate, train, and manage franchise distributors on Matco products.


  • Bachelor's degree required with minimum 3 years of experience in training or instructional design; 5 years of experience preferred
  • Sales experience preferred with experience teaching sales skills to non-sales professionals
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Leadership skills with ability to interact effectively with multiple personality types from diverse backgrounds
  • Flexibility with ability to work extended hours, including occasional weekends
  • Energetic self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong PC skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook and Blackboard or other LMS

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
